Cousin to the three Sainsbury boys!
My memories of Michael are primarily as Connolly clan youngsters, mucking around at Patrick Street Hurstville and the Sainsbury home in Blacktown. Coming from a family with two girls those three Sainsbury boys often Cath & I and our other cousins on adventures and life always appeared exciting with stories of their antics.
Following my marriage and moving away from Sydney I didn't see extended family as often but learned of Michael's extraordinary intellectual ability, particularly in the world of IT as well as his amazing efforts in providing comfort for Aunty Camille when she became so unwell & then Ken when Camille left us.
Upon hearing of Michael's diagnosis, it appeared so unfair however, just like his Mum Michael took on the fight and was able to have the years with Tar and then little Oscar.
I send my condolences to Michael's extended family and I rest in the knowledge of Michael being at peace with those in the family who have gone before (as Camille said to me once - Grandma Isa would be ready to meet again with her beautiful afternoon tea).
